小福 (Kofuku) in Sendai
Sweet and tender simmered black pork(Black pork, produced in Miyagi)🍴
It was simmered overnight in a gentle sweet broth…
The fatty meat melted in my mouth.
It served with mustard.
The mustard brought out the flavor of pork umami.
A lot of vegetables, such as paprika and potato, also contained in the dish.
How healthy it was!
I went to Kofuku to enjoy washoku (Japanese cuisine).
Kofuku had a trendy Japanese-style entrance.
Ohitashi(appetizer)
It(a small bowl of boiled vegetables and so forth, drizzling some seasonings over it) contained wrinkled spinach, brown mushroom, garlic chives, fried bean curd, and young lance fish.
These ingredients were lightly seasoned.
This delicious appetizer helped heal my stomach.
Homemade amazake (sweet thick sake)
It has a natural sweetness.
That made me feel good when drinking.
People say that drinking amazake is like giving an IV.
Amazake is not only rich in nutrients but also good for your skin!
Japanese style skewered chicken and vegetables, called Yakitori (chicken meatballs, chicken thigh, tomatoes, spring onions, and green pepper)
Each ingredient was slowly grilled and served right away.
They were all hot and very tasty!
I had chicken meatballs with a dipping sauce and the others with salt.
Marbled horse sashimi (raw meat)
Horse meat was directly delivered from Kumamoto.
Its sashimi had rich in umami (delicious taste) and its fat had a sweet flavor.
It was served with two dipping sauces: ginger on the left and grated garlic on the right.
Both of them went well with the meat.
White wine
Two sommeliers at Kofuku selected a bottle of white wine from the Czech Republic that went well with horse sashimi.
The wine had moderate acidity and subtle saltiness.
Its flavor gradually spread into the mouth. It was a fantastic wine!
